Alexander knew it was going to be a terrible day when he woke up with gum in this hair. And it got worse... His best friend deserted him. There was no dessert in his lunch bag. And, on top of all that, there were lima beans for dinner and kissing on TV! This handsome new edition of Judith Viorst's classic picture book is sure to charm readers of all ages.

What Customers Say About Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day:
|
|
I paid, but have written and explained that I didn't get it. I did not receive this book. I have never had a problem with Amazon before.
I can't imagine what the writer was thinking. There was no good message, no encouragement. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I purchased this for my grandkids, but they never saw it. My husband and I read the book and tossed it in the trash. Absolute garbage.
The pictures are fun, the writing is very good and the story line is great. When a young boy is frustrated, treated unfairly or suffers from bad luck, he can turn to this book for comfort and a grin. This is the title that got my 6 and 7 year olds hooked on Judith Viorst and other Alexander books.
Now you just have to find it in your next bad day. and turn it around. It is a lighthearted, refreshing reminder (to the kids we're reading to, as well as ourselves) that everyone has bad days. No child's bookshelf is complete without it. My mother read it to me when I was a child, and now I read it to my 3 boys. I love this book. It is a classic. It's easy to see the humor in this book.
Now I have bought it for their children. I read this book to my now grown children many, many times over the years. Hope that they love it as much as their folks did.
